Nov. 24, 2004. Over 300 teachers from Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Panyu participated. The chairwoman was Ling Shunshi, a researcher of English teaching. Standing for Clifford School, Miss Xiong Jia, and Mr. Matt Zandstra, a Western teacher, presented the guests with a vibrant and creative English teaching class and were acclaimed by all. These two and School Director Dr. Xinyou Zhang and Western associate principal Mr. Ellis took questions from the guest teachers after the demonstration. The event ended with a concluding speech by Mr. Lu Zonggan, a veteran English teaching researcher with Guangzhou Education Bureau who spoke highly of the uniqueness of Clifford School’s English program.
