¡¡¡¡On March 2006,
the ¡°UN Millennium Goals of Development--Roundtable Meeting on Education and Training¡±
jointly sponsored by UN ECOSOC, China ECOSCO, and Peking University was convened
in the meeting hall of CPPCC auditorium. The meeting was chaired by Wang Zhongyu,
Vice Chairman of CPPCC and Chairman of China ECOSCO, and attended by Kinkel, UN
Under-Secretary-General and president of UN University, and Boisard, UN Under-Secretary-General,

speech respectively. Clifford L.K. Pang, Clifford School Board Chairman and President
of the Clifford Group also attended the meeting on behalf of non-governmental
enterprises of China and the only spokesman of China¡¯s top secondary school education.
¡¡¡¡In his speech ¡°New Millennium Goals: Through Action and Practice¡±,
Mr. Pang made an introduction to the attendees of education professionals, scholars,
and enterprise representatives, from local and abroad, of his accomplishments
and experience in education. These goals are not only a reflection of the peoples¡¯
desire for a better life, but also the embodiment of a common faith, said he.
To realize these goals, we need passion, wisdom, and most importantly, action.
The Clifford Group, as an enterprise has responded with action and contribution.
Clifford School, for its unique characteristics was certified by the Commission
on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (USA) in 2001. Its bilingual
education has delivered outstanding academic accomplishments and educational services.
As a result, 100% of Clifford School¡¯s seniors in both 2004 and 2005 were admitted
into well-known Chinese or overseas universities. And Clifford School senior graduates
enjoy dual-diplomas, one in Chinese, one from Manitoba, Canada. Currently over
2000 students from more than 30 ethnic nationalities respect each another and
grow together on the harmonious, multicultural Clifford campus. They will contribute
to the building of a harmonious China and a harmonious world.
¡¡¡¡Finally,
Mr. Pang pointed out that we should promote and motivate the community to pool
the efforts from all aspects of society and turn the goals for the new millennium
into reality through the community, enterprises, and the private sector. He believes
that as long as we are determined, combining our efforts, and pooling our resources,
we can turn common beliefs into action, and achieve the goals of the new millennium.
